The next thing is to find blogs and magazines that speak to the ethereal happenings you envision. My personal favourites are The Lane, and Vogue Weddings. Taking in the weddings that resonate will bestow on you an endless reserve of unique wedding concepts for your timeline. As you read take note of unique venues, locations, attire, themes, activities, and events.

Decide what is most important and budget accordingly 

You need to roughly decide what is most important to you and start thinking about your budget. It’s important to be realistic at this point and ask yourself what can you actually afford. If you don’t know what is essential to your vision and what isn’t, there is a chance that when your planner takes over something will be lost.

Write out a list of everything you want at your wedding. Use your moodboard and research as a reference and rank the items in order of importance to you. The top five items on this list are your must have items, you may need to compromise on everything else, so choose wisely.

Find a planner who gets your unique wedding ideas

It is vitally important to find a planner who fits the look and feel of the wedding you want. If you don’t, there’s a strong chance they won’t be able to deliver on what you are conjuring. You now have more choice than ever before when it comes to which vendors will bring your wedding to life. Your planner will present you with a host of options, some from your city, and some from abroad. Chances are good that the perfect vendors for your wedding won’t all be based in your city. Let your planner know what to look for. You want vendors who will best deliver your vision, and not the vendors they happen to know personally.

Opening up your possibilities to international vendors is a sure way to make your wedding stunning and unique. Your city might be home to the best of the best, but if not, you may need to go the extra mile and fly them in especially. It’s always worth paying for who want, instead of choosing someone just because they are located within your city. Remember, this is your wedding! It’s not okay to compromise on the most important elements of your vision.

Lastly, make sure you pay special attention to how your wedding is remembered. Who is going to produce your wedding film and take your photographs. The work of the photographer and filmmaker is the only work that will stand the test of time. Everything else disappears when the wedding is over. This is why I recommend you budget accordingly for your film and photographs.
