I get it. Believe me. Being on the other side of the lens is pretty daunting; especially if you’re doing something you’re not used to doing and trying to enjoy yourself at the same time. I make it my mission to be as discreet as possible for this exact reason. You won’t even notice I’m filming most of the time. I’m serious! I prefer to capture weddings “documentary” style as an insider. This way you look natural like you’re having a great time: because you actually are!
No, as my film will be focused on you and your story. The venue — as beautiful as I’m sure it will be — will only serve as the setting for that story. My films will always include footage of the details in order to set the scene, but I can usually shoot them before people arrive or when everyone is eating.
I use both Sony and Panasonic cameras for different situations. However, I shoot the majority of my clips with a Sony A7iii.
Sure! I can provide you with a timeline of all of the clips from the day.
Different packages include different amounts of coverage of your day. You can add on as much additional time as you need.
I’ll certainly listen to your suggestions regarding music and what your individual tastes are, but in order for music to be used in a wedding film it must be licensed. During the editing process I ensure that the songs I choose match perfectly with the look and feel of your film.
I record audio directly from the DJ’s sound board when possible. I also attach very small wireless microphones to the bride, groom, and officiant.
I always try to have films delivered within one month from the wedding. This can change depending on the season and my workload.
For weddings within the greater Vancouver area I will generally charge no travel fee. However, we will discuss this if it’s relevant for your wedding.
All of my packages include a 3-5 minute short film. A longer 10-12 minute feature film is available as well.
Most of my work has been in Vancouver, BC but I’m happy to travel far and wide to film your wedding.
To completely secure your date with Kind Fox Films you must fill in the form on the contact page and make a deposit paid by e-transfer. I’ll send you an invoice for the balance one month before the wedding.
Most couples are either extremely busy leading up to their wedding or just too far away for a face-to-face chat. I have found that a Zoom/FaceTime call is often enough for most people to get an idea of my personality and for us to iron out the details of the day.
We will always follow up with a quick chat on the phone leading up to the wedding.
If you can make it downtown for a coffee then please do!
